Bethany's
caring ministries serve the congregation as well as the
wider community.
Need someone to listen?
Bethany's Stephen Ministers are trained
laypeople who meet one-on-one to listen and pray with those
experiencing a transition or difficult
period in life. Stephen ministers
meet weekly with people within the congregation as well as
those in the surrounding community who
- are grieving the loss
of a relationship,
- are new to the area,
- in a job search
or
- struggling with any change that impacts life.

Have prayer needs?
Prayer Chain volunteers are committed
to praying regularly for specific needs that
come to their attention. Kari Kehle, (425) 823-2186, receives
requests. The church
office also will receive prayer requests by phone, (206)
284-2222, or e-mail.
Have practical needs?
Deacons focus on people within our
congregation by
- praying for their needs,
- taking communion
to shut-ins,
- helping with seniors or newcomers,
- coordinating
meals and other services
for people during times of crisis
or transition, such as birth of a child or the loss
of a loved one. Cindy Hagen is the deacons' moderator. E-mail Cindy at cindyhagen@comcast.net.
Have financial needs?
Bethany has two funds that may be available
for one-time emergency assistance.
- Our Acts
4:32 Fund serves
people within the congregation.
- The Deacons
Fund serves people
in our community who have a connection to a Bethany
member through friendship, work, or neighborhood.
To make inquiries
about either of these funds, which are supported by
donations, you may e-mail Linda Cutshall, lindac@bethanypc.org,
or call her at 282-2595, ext 13. The deacons also contribute
to the Queen Anne Helpline,
which provides helping services to people living on
Queen Anne Hill.
