A Christmas Circus
A new play by Sarah Stillion, based on a short story by Pastor Dan Baumgartner.
The small town of Hayford, Idaho, was hit hard by the stock market crash in October of 1929. With jobs scarce and money tight, nobody felt like Christmas. That is, until the circus came to town! This jubilant Christmas production turns a silent night into a real circus act, balancing out the Christmas cranks, and filling the community with Christmas cheer.
The play is being produced December 4-7, 11-14, and 18-23 at Warm Beach Camp in Stanwood as part of the annual Lights of Christmas celebration. Enjoy a six-course gourmet meal (or dessert, for Sunday matinees), watch Dan’s characters come to life (the cast includes some Bethany kids), and take in Warm Beach’s popular display of a million Christmas lights.
Dinner tickets are $46; dessert tickets are $28. Bring extra cash for activities around the light display.
Join other Bethany families for the “Bethany Night” performance on Thursday, December 11, and you’ll receive not only a ride to the show but also a special group discount rate.
